BOSTON, Mass., Mar. 23, 2007 – GenScript, supplier of gene, peptide, protein, and antibody services to research institutions worldwide, has joined the many prestigious organizations under the aegis of the Biotechnology Council of New Jersey in representing New Jersey at this year’s BIO International Convention in Boston, Massachusetts.
The convention, nicknamed “BIO 2007,” is run by the Biotechnology Industry Organization. BIO serves as one of the industry’s advocates in the political sphere and in the press, but it also provides business development services to member companies. Its annual convention, which includes seminars, academic events, business development courses, and networking opportunities, is currently the largest biotechnology event in the world. Edward M. Kennedy and Michael J. Fox will deliver this year’s keynote speeches.
Sharing the New Jersey pavilion with GenScript will be such organizations as the Princeton Bioanalytical Laboratory, Novo Nordisk, Inc., NexMed, Inc., and VioQuest Pharmaceuticals. There will be other regional pavilions from all over the world, and several devoted to different areas of the biotechnology industry.
BIO 2007 will be held in the Boston Exhibition and Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The convention will last from May 6 to May 9. GenScript will be found in the New Jersey Pavilion, at booth 1023.
