The insecticidal Cry toxins produced by Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) are powerful tools for insect control. Cry toxin receptors such as cadherin (CAD), ABCC2 transporter and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), located on insect midgut cells, are needed for Cry toxicity.
