In addition, the immunogenicity and protective efficacy against the live ETEC bacteria in the challenge test were determined. Western blot analysis verified the chimeric protein expression of CotD-CfaE. The outcome of ELISA was a substantial improvement in the IgG antibody titer in immunized mice.
