Enterotoxigenic (ETEC) is one of the most common bacterial causes of mortalities in developing countries due to diarrhea. Since mucosal immune responses to CFs can prevent the disease, a chimeric protein containing ETEC's CFA/I (CfaE) tip subunits and CS2 (CotD) sub-structural units is developed to produce effective vaccine.
