Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is clinically and genetically heterogeneous, with concurrent RB1/TP53 mutations, indicating an increased risk of transformation into small cell lung cancer (SCLC).
