Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by memory loss and cognitive impairment. β-Amyloid (Aβ) is widely accepted as the main neurotoxin that triggers mitochondrial-associated oxidative stress, leading to neuronal death in AD.
