Purity |
> 95% as determined by Bis-Tris PAGE |
Endotoxin Level |
Less than 1EU per μg by the LAL method. |
Biological Activity |
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized MASP2, His, Rat at 1μg/ml (100μl/well) on the plate can bind AntiMASP2 Antibody, hFc Tag. Test result was comparable to standard batch. |
Expression System |
E.coli |
Theoretical Molecular Weight |
46.7 kDa |
Apparent Molecular Weight |
Due to autocatalytic cleavage, the protein migrates to 15-20 kDa&25-30 kDa based on Bis-Tris PAGE result. |
Formulation |
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 50mM Tris, 200mM NaCl (pH 9.0). |
Reconstitution |
Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. |
Storage & Stability |
Upon receiving, the product remains stable up to 6 months at -20 °C or below. Upon reconstitution, the product should be stable for 3 months at -80 °C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Target Background |
The dysregulation of complement cascade leads to unsolicited cytokine storm, inflammation, deterioration of alveolar lining cells, culminating in acquired respiratory destructive syndrome (ARDS). Similar pathogenesis is observed with the middle east respiratory syndrome (MERS), severe acquired respiratory syndrome (SARS), and SARS-CoV-2. Activation of the lectin pathway via mannose-binding lectin associated serine protease 2 (MASP2) is witnessed under discrete viral infections including COVID-19. |
