Mycoplasma synoviae is a common pathogen affecting poultry and has important economic significance. Infectious synovitis is the most common clinical effect. Since 2010, the incidence of M. synoviae infection in China has rapidly risen, causing significant economic losses to the chicken industry; however, the cause of the disease outbreak remains unclear.
