Daphnia magna is one of the most commonly used model organisms to assess toxicity of heavy metal and other xenobiotics. However, the lack of knowledge about important stress-resistant molecules limits our understanding of the alteration of phenotypic and physiological traits of D. magna upon stress exposures.
