Tripterygium glycoside (TG) is a traditional Chinese medicine extract with immunosuppressive, anti‑inflammatory and anti‑renal fibrosis effects. Epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cell apoptosis are considered to be the major cause of podocyte injury in diabetic kidney disease (DKD).
