It was reported that lowly expressed RING1 indicates poor prognosis in breast cancer (BC) patients, while the mechanism by which RING1 is involved in BC progression is not fully understood. Here, we found that RING1 was lowly expressed in BC tissues and cells than in normal mammary tissues and epithelial cells. Overexpression of RING1 suppressed the cell proliferative and colony formation abilities, and facilitated cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis in BC cells (T47D and MCF-7 cells).
